Preliminary Steps

First you will need to get some things done before you go to main jailbreaking.

Make sure you have ios 5.0.1.

IOS 5.0.1 is needed to do this jailbreak.because the application only supports ios 5.0.1.
To check your ios,launch "Settings" in the springboard(the main menu).Then go to "About".And there in the tab "Version" lies your goal.See the number.if it is "5.0.1" or less than that,like 4.3.5, then you have hope.(AHHHHHHHH.A sigh of relief).
Buuuuuuuut,if it is 5.1.0 then I'm sorry.Your iDevice could not be saved.



If you have version 5.0.1 then skip the next step .if you have less than 5.0.1,then you must read next step.but if you have 5.1.0 then please close this page and search.but there is hope.recently a new jailbreak has arrived that can jailbreak ipod touch,iphone and ipad1 with ios 5.1.0.maybe they will find a jailbreak for ipad2 and iphone4s too.if they release it i will squid as soon as possible.

Update To 5.0.1

This is for those with ios less than 5.0.1 like 4.3.5.you must download the ios 5.0.1.It is About 800mb.i know it is a little too big for some people.but if you have friends with higher speed then you can download and update in their house.here is the link to download yourIos . download according to your device.if you have ipad 2 wifi then select the "ipad 2 wifi".if you have gsm or cdma then select those.Before updating your ios make sure to backup your apps and settings using itunes or they will be lost.(WARNED YOU!!) First,make sure you have enough charge in your iDevice's battery.connect your iDevice to your pc with the usb cable. Second,Itunes will pop-up,if it doesn't then start it manually. Third, Open your idevice in the tab.like here  . Then press your shift button and left click on the restore button.
a window will pop-up.now browse to the folder where you saved that ios update and select it.press open.The ios update will start.Do not disconnect until the update finishes.When the update finishes just restore your backup

CAUTIONS WHILE UPDATING IOS

1.Don't disconnect your device while updating.
2.Make Sure you have enough battery power.
3.Make sure you have continuous power supply.
4.If the ios file is corrupted delete that and re-download
5.If there is any error while updating from itunes just tell me.

As you have ios 5.0.1 we will start the main jailbreaking steps.Here are the Things you will need

1.First and foremost,you must have courage in your heart to jailbreak.some people dos not have the courage,so they do not jailbreak.
2.Absinthe.this is the jailbreaking tool.download from here
for windows
for mac
3.usb cable.
4.iPad2 or iPhone4s with ios 5.0.1
5.a zip extracting software.

Let's jailbreak

Step 1,extract the absinthe zip file you downloaded.don't extract only one file.extract whole folder. 

Step 2,Connect your iDevice to your pc with usb cable.Remember to turn passcode off before jailbreaking.

Step 3,Run the absinthe file from where you extracted.

Step 4,Absinthe will now detect your idevice.when the jailbreak button appears press the button and jailbreaking will start.Your iDevice will show "Restore in Progress".it may take a long time.your idevice may reboot 1 or 2 times.when it finishes,start your idevice,go to main menu and search for "absinthe" icon.when you find it just run it.when it finishes,your idevice will be jailbroken.After that, you will see the cydia icon in your main menu..just run it and it will show prepairing filesystem.wait for some times and your cydia will be prepaired.

And then your Idevice will be jailbroken.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.another sigh of relief.
